PRIMARY FUNCTION/OBJECTIVE:
Reporting to Sales Force Effectiveness Manager, Sr. Business Intelligence & Data Management Specialist will support Sr. Sales Force Effectiveness Manager to drive high performance of in-field teams to support the organizational growth. This role will be responsible for providing business intelligence, data analytics and data management solutions to support commercial decision-making and Business Excellence initiatives. The role will integrate and analyze data from multiple internal and external sources, develop actionable insights and business intelligence solutions, and strengthen the overall commercial data foundation.
In addition, the role will support the exploration and implementation of AI-enabled business use cases, working with business stakeholders and relevant internal teams to translate business needs into practical AI applications and facilitate adoption within the organization.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the development and implementation of Sales Force Effectiveness, Business
Intelligence and Data Management initiatives that optimize the performance of Taiwan & Hong
Kong commercial teams, facilitate data-driven decision-making and support the achievement of
business objectives. Responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of the following:
Business Intelligence
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and analytical solutions to provide timely and actionable business insights for commercial teams and management.
- Integrate and analyze multiple data sources, including distributor sales data, customer/account data, field execution data and other commercial datasets, to generate a holistic view of business performance
- Partner with Brand, Sales and Business Excellence teams to identify business opportunities, monitor key performance indicators and translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Provide regular and ad-hoc business performance analysis, including daily, monthly and quarterly in-market sales reporting, performance tracking and tailor-made analysis based on evolving business priorities.
- Continuously enhance BI solutions by improving data models, analytical methodologies, dashboard usability and automation, enabling faster and more effective business decision-making.
Data Management
- Manage and integrate commercial data from multiple internal and external sources to establish a reliable, consistent and scalable data foundation for business analytics.
- Develop and maintain data management processes covering data collection, validation, cleansing, matching, transformation and integration, ensuring data quality and consistency across different data sources.
- Establish and continuously improve master data management and data matching methodologies, particularly for HCO/HCP and customer-related data across distributor, sales and other commercial datasets.
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring data processing and data quality checks using appropriate technologies and tools, improving efficiency and reducing manual intervention.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, global/area teams, BTS and external vendors as needed to improve data architecture, data flows, governance and analytical readiness.
- Support the development of standardized data definitions, business rules and documentation to enhance data quality, transparency and sustainability.
AI Enablement & Business Use Cases
- Support the identification and implementation of AI-enabled business use cases aligned with commercial and Business Excellence priorities.
- Work with business stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into practical AI use cases, in collaboration with relevant internal, regional/global and technology teams.
- Support pilot testing, implementation and adoption of approved AI solutions and tools within the affiliate.
- Explore opportunities to leverage AI and automation to enhance analytics, data management, operational efficiency and business decision-making.
- Promote responsible and compliant use of AI in accordance with AbbVie policies, data privacy requirements and applicable regulations.
- University degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Data Analytics, Information
- Management, Engineering or other relevant disciplines.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Management,
- Business Excellence or Commercial Excellence.
- Experience working with multiple commercial data sources and managing data integration, data quality and master data processes.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in applying AI or automation solutions to business use cases is an advantage.
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights and actionable recommendations.
- Solid understanding of data management, data quality, data integration and master data concepts.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI and Excel, with good understanding of data visualization, data
modeling and dashboard design. Python, SQL or similar technologies is an advantage.
- Ability to work with multiple data sources and manage complex analytical requirements in a
structured and efficient manner.
- Strong learning agility and curiosity toward emerging technologies, including AI, automation and advanced analytics.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
