ABN AMRO is expanding the Microsoft 365 platform to support business users across different areas, based on their use cases, requirements, and expectations. Within the Digital Workplace domain, the Microsoft 365 DevOps platform team supports the M365 platform end to end and works according to the Agile DevOps concept.

Your job

As a Platform Engineer, you configure the platform and implement or enable new functionality based on the roadmap and business needs. You contribute to clear architecture, well-defined solutions, operational governance, implementation of new functionality, and the development of governance tools and measures that can be handed over to the level 2 team responsible for governance and support.

A key strategic initiative within our team is the M365 Copilot program. What started as an exploratory pilot has evolved into an enterprise-wide transformation effort focused on adoption, security, governance, and AI-powered agents. We help shape the platforms, policies, and services that enable colleagues to safely realize the value of AI at scale. Working environment

Digital Workplace is responsible for the Modern Digital Workplace within ABN AMRO, supporting more than 28,000 seats. The team operates from the Netherlands and serves business users both inside and outside the Netherlands.

The Digital Workplace provides workplace devices as well as a full suite of standard workplace functionality. It is prepared for ABN AMRO’s hybrid way of working and enables business users to work faster and smarter.

The team works closely with level 1 and level 2 support. When incidents or problems cannot be resolved within their expertise, they are handled by the M365 Platform Team. General knowledge of Microsoft Entra and Microsoft 365 is required for all Platform Engineers.

The M365 Development & Operations team consists of approximately 15 FTE. Each team member has their own expertise across the broad range of functionality and applications provided through M365, giving you the opportunity to explore beyond your comfort zone and develop new specialties or competences. As a technical expert, you are an assertive team player and trusted advisor who can explain decisions and present them to management.

Your profile

The job requires the following skills and experience:

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience and broad knowledge of M365.
• Deep administrator-level knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Exchange.
• Knowledge of Copilot for M365, Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Agents.
• Knowledge of Teams and SharePoint Online.
• Knowledge of the M365 E5 Security and Compliance features and options.
• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and Azure pipelines.
• Experience working in a large and/or complex organization.
• Ability to communicate with solution architects, IT specialists, and business users.
• Ability to write and speak in English and Dutch.
