About ACC Benalla

Our A CC Benalla campus, is located at Benalla (2hrs north of Melbourne), and is a P-12, co-ed, Christian school. The school is in the middle of an exciting period of growth and development.

About the role

We are seeking to appoint a Christian Bus Driver to join our great team of dedicated staff and serve the transport operational needs of the school. This part-time (54 hours per fortnight) position is expected to start as soon as possible.

Key Details:

• Job Title: Bus Driver
• Schedule: Weekdays, split shifts: morning and afternoon
• Additional Opportunities: Occasional work during or after school hours for staff and student excursions and camps

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport students to and from school on designated routes.
• Foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere, building strong relationships with our students.
• Adhere to the allocated schedule, ensuring prompt and efficient service.
• Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate transportation for staff and student excursions and camps.
• Maintain a clean and tidy bus interior, promoting a comfortable and welcoming environment for students.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the bus.
• Safely load and unload students at designated stops, ensuring their well-being and maintaining order.

Core Responsibilities & Duties

• Provide a child safe environment in accordance with the child safe standards;
• Participate in child safety and wellbeing induction and training provided by the school and always follow the school’s child safety and wellbeing policies and procedures;
• Act in accordance with our Child Safety Code of Conduct;
• Identify and raise concerns about child safety issues in accordance with our Child Safety Responding and Reporting Obligations Policy and Procedures, including following the Four Critical Actions for Schools;
• Ensure students’ views are taken seriously and their voices are heard about decisions that affect their lives;
• Model and promote the vision and values of the school;
• Attend and participate in staff meetings as required;

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

• A genuine person with a passion for working with children.
• Have a valid working with children check for working in a child-related environment in VIC
• Valid driver's licence (with at least LR licence but preferably MR licence)
• Excellent driving record and commitment to passenger safety.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliability and punctuality to ensure timely transportation.
