Summary:
As a Database Administrator, a typical day involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust database systems to support organizational needs. This role includes installing database management systems and developing comprehensive procedures to ensure smooth daily operations. The position requires continuous monitoring and problem-solving to maintain database integrity and performance, while coordinating with various teams to align database solutions with business objectives.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Oversee the implementation of best practices for database security and backup strategies.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team to enhance overall expertise.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to understand database requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in AWS Relational Database Service.
- Experience in database installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Strong skills in performance tuning and optimization of database systems.
- Ability to develop and implement backup and recovery strategies.
- Knowledge of database security principles and access control mechanisms.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and troubleshooting database issues.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in AWS Relational Database Service.
- This position is based at Client Onsite - Within India.
