The Employment Law team sits within Accenture’s Compliance, Offerings, Regulatory & Ethics (CORE) organization and provides employment law support across a broad range of people, business and organizational matters.

As an Employment Law Senior Manager for the Middle East & Africa (MEA), you will provide strategic, pragmatic and business-focused employment law advice across a diverse and evolving regional landscape.

You will partner closely with HR, Employee Relations and other business and functional stakeholders, helping leaders navigate complex employment law matters while balancing legal risk, business priorities and Accenture’s values.

This is an opportunity for an experienced employment lawyer to operate at regional level within a global organization, working across jurisdictions and contributing to matters ranging from day-to-day employment advisory and dispute management to major organizational and transactional initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Employment Law Advisory

  • Partner with key functions including Human Resources, Employee Relations, Total Rewards, Mobility and other relevant business and functional teams.
  • Provide employment law perspectives on regional initiatives, workforce matters and evolving business requirements.

Regional & Cross-Border Support

  • Support employment law matters spanning multiple MEA jurisdictions, considering local legal requirements alongside broader regional and global objectives.
  • Partner with local and global Legal colleagues and external counsel to deliver consistent, high-quality advice across different markets.
  • Monitor significant developments in employment legislation, regulation and case law and assess their potential relevance to Accenture.

Employee Relations & Dispute Management

  • Provide legal guidance on complex employee relations matters and employment-related disputes.
  • Support litigation and pre-litigation matters in partnership with Employee Relations and external legal counsel, where appropriate.
  • Advise stakeholders on legal risk, potential approaches and resolution strategies.

Transactions & Business Transformation

  • Provide employment law support for strategic transactions and business initiatives, including outsourcing, workforce transitions, ventures and acquisitions.
  • Advise on employment aspects of transactions, which may include due diligence, employee transfers, consultation requirements, deal execution and integration activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and manage employment-related risks associated with business change.

Stakeholder & External Counsel Management

  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and act as a strategic employment law partner to the business.
  • Communicate complex legal issues clearly and practically to stakeholders with different levels of legal expertise.
  • Manage external counsel relationships as appropriate, including scope, quality and associated legal spend.
  • Work collaboratively across Accenture Legal and other functions to address matters requiring multidisciplinary expertise.

Knowledge & Capability Development

  • Contribute to the development of employment law guidance, toolkits, training and knowledge resources.
  • Share insights and leading practices across Legal and relevant stakeholder communities.
  • Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across countries and teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • Qualified lawyer with relevant post-qualification experience in employment law gained within a recognized law firm and/or in-house legal environment.
  • Significant professional experience advising on employment law matters, with approximately 10 years of post-qualification experience anticipated for this level.
  • Demonstrated experience handling complex employment law matters and providing practical legal advice to business stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex matters in a fast-paced, international environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating across multiple jurisdictions or handling regional/cross-border employment law matters.
  • Employment law experience within the Middle East and/or Africa, particularly across multiple MEA jurisdictions.
  • Previous in-house experience within a multinational or similarly complex organization.
  • Experience advising senior business and HR stakeholders on complex or sensitive employment matters.
  • Experience supporting major organizational change, workforce transformation, outsourcing, mergers and acquisitions or similar transactions.
  • Experience managing external legal counsel.
  • Additional language capabilities relevant to the MEA region would be advantageous.

Skills & Attributes

We are looking for someone who can combine strong technical employment law expertise with commercial thinking, sound judgment and effective stakeholder leadership.

You will ideally demonstrate:

  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking capabilities, with the ability to translate complex legal issues into practical business advice.
  • A strategic mindset and the confidence to develop innovative, business-focused solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.

  • Strong prioritization, organization and project-management capabilities.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning in an evolving employment law landscape.
  • Sound judgment, integrity and the ability to build trust through both interpersonal effectiveness and consistent delivery.
