How will you make an impact
- Exposure to 33kV/132kV/220kV/400kV GIS and AIS projects
- Primary engineering work experience of around 8-10 years in various substation projects, preferably for the Jordan, Egypt , Africa, or Middle East markets.
- Experience in preparation and review of overall equipment layouts, equipment arrangement layouts for AIS and GIS substations, earthing, cable routing, lightning protection layouts, electrical clearances, cut out drawings and civil guides, foundation layouts etc.
- Experience and knowledge of design calculations for AIS and GIS substation - short circuit forces, cantilever strength, conductor sizing, cable ampacity, earthing system, lightning protection system etc.
- Experience in preparing or estimating the BOQ for primary equipment, gantries & equipment support structure, cabling systems, earthing & lightning protection system
- Experience of supplier document review for AIS and GIS equipment, power and auxiliary transformer, earthing transformer, MV switchgear etc.
- Knowledge of structure design criteria and load combinations as per international standards. The candidate shall also be familiar with equipment static and dynamic forces and their application for structure design for AIS substations. Proficiency in verification of structure design with respect to the electrical & mechanical inputs provided, structure drawings review for interfacing with HV equipment and connections.
- Experience in coordination of project engineering activities for own scope. Coordination with all internal and external stakeholders on time, on quality and on budget delivery of project engineering deliverables
- Experience in coordination with Civil and MEP disciplines in the substation, inputs for civil and MEP engineering, interfaces, coordination check with civil & MEP services etc.
- Good drafting skills using software like REVIT or AUTOCAD will be an added advantage.

- Overall coordination of project engineering delivers for own scope. Coordination with all internal and external stakeholders for delivery of engineering deliverables as per project requirement.
- Preparation and review of structure design calculations and drawings for equipment structures, gantry towers and beams. Preparation and review of SCF and Sag-tension calculation for gantry tower, beams and equipment support structures. Review of supplier drawings and approvals.
- Preparation of overall equipment layouts, equipment arrangement layouts for AIS and GIS substations, earthing, cable routing, lightning protection layouts, electrical clearances, cut out drawings and civil guides, foundation layouts etc.
- Preparation of design calculations for AIS and GIS substation - short circuit forces, cantilever strength, conductor sizing, cable ampacity, earthing system, lightning protection system etc.
- Supplier document review for AIS and GIS equipment, power and auxiliary transformers, earthing transformers, MV switchgear etc.

- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with minimum 12 years of experience
- Coordination with Civil and MEP disciplines in the substation, inputs for civil and MEP engineering, interfaces, coordination check with civil & MEP services etc
