The work:
As a Business Analyst, you will serve as the primary bridge between our customers and the delivery team. You will lead customer-facing communications, facilitate collaborative working sessions, and turn stakeholder needs into well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria that enable rapid, iterative delivery. This is a high client and customer visibility, interface, and impact role that emphasizes Agile practices and hands-on support for Microsoft Power Platform solutions including Power Apps, SharePoint sites, Power Automate flows, and Dataverse.
What You’ll Do:
Customer and client communications: Serve as the BA point of contact for assigned products and features; translate business objectives into delivery-ready stories and communicate progress, risks, and decisions to customers; prepare concise status summaries, release notes, and stakeholder updates. Meeting facilitation and collaboration: Plan and facilitate discovery workshops, backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives; capture decisions, assumptions, and action items and ensure follow-through; coordinate with the Product Owner, developers, testers, and mission stakeholders to keep work flowing. Conduct interviews and process mapping to elicit and document business rules, workflows, and data needs; write user stories with test-driven acceptance criteria (Given-When-Then) and maintain traceability; maintain living documentation and knowledge bases in Confluence or equivalent. Agile development support: Manage and prioritize the backlog and facilitate story estimation using Planning Poker or similar approaches; Define and uphold Definition of Ready and Definition of Done for the team; Organize effective demos and retrospectives that turn feedback into actionable improvements; use Jira to track work, visualize flow, and report sprint metrics. Product Development Support: Coordinate with UX/UI designers to create wireframes and clickable prototypes; ensure usability, accessibility, and alignment with design standards; support data collection, cleaning, and management for projects (e.g. collect data from stakeholders, normalize inputs, define table relationships, views, forms, and security roles); establish stakeholder touchpoints to drive rapid feedback on prototypes and incremental releases; capture and prioritize customer feedback for incorporation into upcoming sprints. Design test scenarios aligned to acceptance criteria and assist with UAT planning and execution; test apps and flows to validate functionality, performance, and edge cases prior to customer delivery; support defect triage by clarifying expected behavior, business impact, and prioritization; document results and verify fixes before release.
