Junior Databricks Engineer (Azure / AWS / GCP)

We seek an Databricks Engineer to help us optimize CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure for our enterprise platform.

You will collaborate with development and operations teams to automate deployments, enhance scalability, and ensure high availability in Azure environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and workflows using Databricks.

• Work with Apache Spark, PySpark, Python, and SQL to process and transform data.

• Develop and maintain Databricks notebooks, jobs, workflows, and compute resources.

• Work with Delta Lake and support reliable and scalable data processing solutions.

• Integrate Databricks with cloud services and data storage platforms.

• Support infrastructure deployment and automation activities using Infrastructure as Code principles.

• Work with Git and CI/CD pipelines to support application and platform deployments.

• Monitor workloads, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to performance and cost optimization.

• Follow security, governance, and access management best practices.

• Collaborate with data engineers, cloud engineers, developers, and operations teams.

• Stay up to date with new technologies and continuously expand your cloud and data engineering knowledge.

Required Skills

• Basic hands-on experience with Databricks gained through projects, internships, certifications, training, or professional work.

• Experience with Python and SQL.

• Basic understanding of Apache Spark or PySpark concepts.

• Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

• Understanding of software development and DevOps fundamentals.

• Interest in Infrastructure as Code concepts and tools such as Terraform or Bicep.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and collaboration skills.

• Ownership mindset and responsibility for assigned tasks.

• Eagerness to learn and develop new technical skills.

• Genuine interest in modern cloud, data, and AI technologies.

Nice to have

• Databricks certifications.

• Experience with Delta Lake.

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

• Experience with Terraform, Bicep, or other Infrastructure as Code tools.

• Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and security concepts.

• Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

• Knowledge of AWS or GCP services.

• Familiarity with AI productivity tools and coding assistants.
