Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer

Task

Design and implement data fabric architecture across heterogeneous data sources and platformsDevelop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and real-time data integrationIntegrate structured and unstructured data from databases, APIs, SaaS applications, data lakes, and enterprise systemsImplement metadata management, data cataloging, lineage, and data discovery capabilitiesBuild data-access and integration services using APIs, event streaming, and distributed processingEstablish data quality, validation, observability, and monitoring frameworksImplement data governance, security, access controls, and compliance requirementsWork with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google CloudOptimize data pipelines and processing workloads for performance, scalability, and cost

Expectation

5+ years of experience as a data engineer or similar with significant exposure to cloud-based data platforms and modern data architecturesStrong understanding and practical experience with data modeling, data warehousing / lakehouse architecture such as dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, Delta Lake / LakehouseProven track record in data governance, metadata management, and ensuring data quality at scaleSolid experience in performance optimization and troubleshooting of data processing jobs / pipelines using Spark/DatabricksExcellent programming and query skills including strong SQL and Python or another relevant languageStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to think at both micro and macro levelsExcellent communication skills for explaining complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders and collaborating across teamsSelf-motivation, responsibility, and capability of working independently and as a technical leader in a structured data platform environment
