Summary:

As a Senior Fivetran & Oracle Application DBA, you will design, configure, manage, and support enterprise data integration platforms and Oracle database environments. The role requires extensive expertise in Fivetran platform implementation, connector configuration, pipeline monitoring, data replication, Oracle database administration, SQL, PL/SQL, ETL/ELT processes, and production support.

The DBA will build and manage reliable data pipelines using Fivetran connectors, Oracle databases, cloud data platforms, and analytics environments. Strong knowledge of database administration, performance tuning, data integration patterns, troubleshooting, and enterprise data movement is required to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing data solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Design, configure, and manage Fivetran data pipelines for enterprise data integration and replication.

2. Implement and support Fivetran connectors for Oracle and other source and target systems.

3. Configure Fivetran connections, schemas, sync schedules, transformations, and data replication workflows.

4. Monitor Fivetran pipelines, troubleshoot synchronization failures, and resolve data ingestion issues.

5. Perform root cause analysis for pipeline errors, schema changes, connectivity issues, and data discrepancies.

6. Manage Oracle databases supporting enterprise applications and data integration processes.

7. Perform Oracle database administration activities including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and maintenance.

8. Develop and optimize SQL queries, PL/SQL procedures, and database objects supporting integration requirements.

9. Support ELT pipelines and data movement between Oracle systems and cloud data warehouses.

10. Configure and maintain data replication workflows following Fivetran best practices.

11. Implement data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks for replicated data.

12. Manage Oracle users, roles, privileges, security configurations, and access controls.

13. Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, monitoring, and capacity planning.

14. Support backup, recovery, high availability, and production database operations.

15. Collaborate with data engineers, application teams, architects, and business stakeholders.

16. Create technical documentation for Fivetran configurations, Oracle environments, and operational procedures.

17. Participate in incident management, change management, and production support activities.

18. Automate operational tasks using scripts and scheduling tools.

Professional & Technical Skills:

1. 10+ years of experience in Data Integration, Fivetran, Oracle Database Administration, and Enterprise Application Support.

2. Mandatory hands-on experience with the Fivetran platform including Connector Configuration, Data Replication, Pipeline Monitoring, Sync Management, Schema Evolution Handling, and Error Troubleshooting.

3. Strong experience implementing and supporting Fivetran ELT pipelines.

4. Experience configuring and managing Fivetran connectors for Oracle databases and cloud data platforms.

5. Strong expertise in Oracle Database Administration including installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.

6. Strong knowledge of Oracle Database versions including 11g, 12c, 18c, and 19c.

7. Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills including complex queries, procedures, functions, packages, and performance tuning.

8. Experience working with Oracle database objects including tables, indexes, views, partitions, schemas, and constraints.

9. Strong understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data replication strategies, and enterprise data integration patterns.

10. Experience integrating Oracle data with cloud data warehouses including Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, and Azure Synapse Analytics.

11. Knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

12. Experience implementing data validation, reconciliation, and data quality frameworks.

13. Experience with database monitoring, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and capacity management.

14. Knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting and automation.

15. Experience with CI/CD tools, Git, and DevOps practices.

16. Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, ITIL, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.

17. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Additional Information:

- The candidate should have minimum 10 years of experience in Oracle Applications DBA & Fivetran,Data Integration, and ELT Pipeline Development.

- This position is based at our Hyderabad office.
