We invite you to join our dynamic team in Mysuru, India as our **Housekeeping Manager**. In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee the housekeeping operations of our facility, ensuring that all residential and common areas maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and organization. Reporting to senior management, you will lead a dedicated housekeeping team while fostering a collaborative, supportive environment where excellence is celebrated and continuous improvement is encouraged. Your strategic vision, operational expertise, and commitment to customer satisfaction will be instrumental in delivering exceptional service experiences that exceed expectations.

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping Department while maintaining brand standards and service excellence
  • Actively supervise housekeeping staff on the floor, providing guidance, support, and real-time feedback to ensure consistent quality
  • Maintain all residential spaces, common areas, and back-of-house facilities to the highest cleanliness and organizational standards
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and develop housekeeping team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
  • Create and manage weekly work schedules while ensuring compliance with labor regulations and organizational policies
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality audits of guestrooms, storage areas, and public spaces to verify adherence to standards
  • Oversee inventory management, including monthly linen and supply checks, to optimize purchasing and cost control
  • Manage equipment maintenance and ensure all tools are in proper working order for operational efficiency
  • Track attendance, manage timekeeping, and oversee payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Conduct monthly departmental meetings, performance reviews, and recognition programs to motivate and engage the team
  • Implement and manage deep cleaning and preventative maintenance programs to extend facility longevity
  • Oversee the Lost and Found program and ensure proper documentation and resolution
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, standard operating procedures, and maintain accurate safety documentation
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Residence Services, and other departments to address maintenance issues and enhance guest experiences
  • Analyze operational metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement innovative solutions to increase efficiency
  • Foster an inclusive, empowering work environment where every team member feels valued, respected, and supported

**Physical Aspects of Position:**

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Frequent verbal communication requiring speaking and active listening
  • Frequent written communication requiring typing, reading, and documentation
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs or more
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed

**Required Qualifications:**

  • Minimum 3-5 years of leadership experience in a hospitality, hotel, or residential management setting
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and motivating housekeeping or facility teams
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining composure and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and colleagues
  • Physical capability to perform occasional manual tasks and remain mobile throughout the shift

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • Specific experience in residential housekeeping management or luxury hospitality environments
  • Knowledge of housekeeping standards, best practices, and industry benchmarks
  • Experience with housekeeping management software or property management systems
  • Certification in hospitality management or professional housekeeping standards
  • Budget management and cost control experience
  • Vendor and supplier management experience
  • Experience implementing quality assurance and inspection protocols
