To support this growth, we are looking for an experienced Tactical Planner who can optimize inventory, planning parameters, and network performance across our international supply chain. In this role, you will act as the connecting link between Supply Planning, Commercial Planning, Buying, Logistics, and external suppliers, helping Action continuously improve the flow of goods throughout the network.

  • Full time, 38 hours per week

Action continues to grow rapidly across Europe. With more than 3,000 stores in 15 countries and ambitious expansion plans, our supply chain network is becoming increasingly complex. Ensuring the right products are available in the right place at the right time is critical to our success.

Do you enjoy solving complex supply chain challenges, using data to drive decisions, and influencing stakeholders across multiple departments? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, international retail environment? And do you feel at home with Action's values?

This is your daily action

As a Tactical Planner, you are responsible for safeguarding and optimizing key planning parameters, inventory strategies, and supply chain performance across the Action network. You provide a medium to long-term perspective on inventory, availability, capacity utilization, and network constraints, enabling the business to make informed decisions and scale effectively.

You work closely with Supply Planning, Commercial Planning, Buying, Logistics, Controlling, Strategy & Innovation teams, and external suppliers to improve supply chain performance and support Action's continued growth. You act as a subject matter expert for planning parameters, inventory management, and network optimization, helping drive improvements that increase product availability, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.

Your key responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize planning system parameters and settings within systems such as SAP, Symphony, and Anaplan.
  • Safeguard inventory strategies, replenishment settings, and safety stock parameters across the network.
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators including availability, service levels, inventory, forecasting accuracy, network utilization, cost, and risk.
  • Identify trends, provide insights, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the Planning function.
  • Support seasonal planning activities and participate in cross-functional governance processes for major commercial events.
  • Contribute to the implementation and further development of integrated end-to-end planning solutions.
  • Drive projects related to inventory optimization, stock strategies, and supply chain scalability.
  • Develop and maintain governance over delivery schedules and network capacity utilization.
  • Analyse risks, constraints, and opportunities within the supply chain and propose effective solutions.
  • Support the onboarding of suppliers by ensuring optimal planning parameter setups.
  • Contribute to distribution centre, hub, and cross-dock expansion projects.
  • Work cross-functionally to improve collaboration, processes, systems, and ways of working across Supply Chain, Logistics, and Commerce.
  • Help develop future planning capabilities and ensure the scalability of Action's growing supply chain network.
