Fleet Controller

Our client, a leading player in the transport and logistics sector, is looking to appoint experienced Fleet Controllers to join their operations team. We have opportunities available for controllers with experience managing Tautliner and/or Side Tipper fleets. 

This role is suited to an organised, proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced transport environment and has a proven track record in fleet control, driver management, route coordination, and client communication.

• Capture and update planned loads on the fleet management system.
• Coordinate with planners to ensure loads are allocated efficiently.
• Communicate loading instructions and operational changes to drivers.
• Monitor truck and driver movements throughout the transportation process.
• Ensure loads are collected and delivered according to schedule.
• Provide clients and stakeholders with regular updates regarding deliveries and delays.
• Manage driver debriefing sessions and assist with operational queries.
• Monitor driver attendance, leave, and absenteeism.
• Ensure PODs and all supporting documentation are submitted accurately and on time.
• Monitor diesel consumption and driver performance.
• Liaise with clients to resolve operational issues and maintain strong working relationships.
• Coordinate breakdown notifications and follow up on estimated resolution times.

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• 2–4 years' experience as a Fleet Controller within the road freight, transport, or logistics industry.
• Experience working with Tautliners and/or Side Tipper trucks.
• Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
• Fluent in English
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.
• Strong planning, coordination, and communication skills.

R22,000 – R25,000 CTC per month
