What You Will Be Doing

We’re seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Lead SAP BASIS Administrator to play a critical role in supporting, maintaining, and evolving Acushnet’s global SAP landscape. In this role, you will serve as a technical leader responsible for the lifecycle management, performance, security, and operational stability of Acushnet’s SAP S/4HANA environment within a cloud-based infrastructure. You will partner closely with internal stakeholders, external service providers, technical teams, security resources, and business leaders to ensure the SAP platform remains reliable, secure, scalable, and aligned with business priorities. You will oversee and execute system refresh activities, monitor system health, and continuously improve platform performance and reliability. As a key technical resource, you will support large-scale initiatives including SAP migrations, S/4HANA enhancements, infrastructure upgrades, and business transformation projects. You will collaborate with business and project teams throughout project lifecycles, supporting activities from planning and blueprinting through realization, testing, deployment, and go-live support. You will also serve as a trusted advisor on SAP technical capabilities, helping the business evaluate new features, opportunities, and best practices while supporting user enablement and training initiatives. This role will have responsibility for administering SAP security controls, ensuring compliance with established governance requirements, and executing approved access and security-related requests. In addition, you will work closely with internal and external auditors, providing documentation and evidence supporting audit activities, compliance reviews, and JSOX controls. The Senior Lead SAP BASIS Administrator will also act as a key liaison with hosting providers, managed service partners, and external consultants, driving accountability for service delivery, performance, quality, and cost management. Through KPI tracking, SLA management, vendor oversight, and continuous improvement efforts, you will help ensure Acushnet’s SAP environment supports current business operations while positioning the organization for future growth and transformation.

What You Bring

Demonstrated experience supporting full lifecycle SAP implementations, upgrades, migrations, and ongoing production support activities.
  • Experience leading and supporting SAP migration projects; experience with SAP RISE and cloud-hosted SAP environments is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP architecture, system administration, transport management, performance tuning, capacity planning, monitoring, patching, and upgrade methodologies.
  • Experience supporting development, quality assurance, staging, and production SAP landscapes.
  • Strong understanding of SAP security concepts, governance controls, user administration, compliance requirements, and audit processes.
  • Experience working with internal and external auditors and providing documentation, evidence, and support for audit reviews and compliance initiatives.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain highly technical concepts to business users, project teams, and senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and navigate ambiguity while supporting strategic business objectives.
  • Passion for documentation, technical standards, process improvement, and knowledge sharing, including the creation of diagrams, system documentation, and technical procedures.
  • Experience analyzing and presenting technical data through reports, dashboards, visualizations, and performance metrics.
