Data Scientist

About the Role and Team:

Adform’s Research Team works with large-scale advertising data to build machine learning solutions that help optimize campaigns, audience targeting, bidding, and fraud detection.

As a Data Scientist, you will build and experiment with machine learning and statistical models, test different approaches and simulations, and work with large datasets to turn ideas into solutions that can operate at scale. You will join a global, cross-functional team and collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Engineering, Big Data, and Product teams.

We’re looking for strong Data Science fundamentals, curiosity, and the ability to apply your knowledge to complex real-world problems.

• Build and experiment with scalable machine learning and statistical models, testing different approaches, simulations, scenarios, and edge cases

• Develop solutions that help optimize advertising campaigns, audience targeting, bidding, and fraud detection

• Work with large-scale datasets and perform data analysis to support model development and decision-making

• Work closely with Data Science, Engineering, Big Data, and Product teams to bring solutions into production and ensure they operate effectively at scale

• Maintain and continuously improve existing algorithms, including investigating cases where models or solutions do not perform as expected

• Contribute ideas, challenge existing approaches, and share knowledge within a global and highly collaborative team

• At least 2-5 years of professional experience in Data Science or a closely related field

• Strong mathematical and statistical skills, including statistical inference, and experience working with large datasets

• Hands-on experience with supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques

• Proficiency in Python and SQL

• Understanding of data pipelines and ETL processes

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex problems into practical and scalable solutions

• Ability to communicate ideas clearly and collaborate effectively across teams in an international environment

Stand out by having:

• Master’s or PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience

• Experience with big data technologies such as Spark or Hadoop

• Knowledge of the AdTech industry, its solutions, and related web technologies
