Job Summary
We are seeking a Junior Structural Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will support the design, analysis, and stability calculations for marine structures, particularly heavy lift vessels and deck carriers. In this role, you will assist with performing structural calculations, generating finite element (FE) models using ANSYS or Dlubal RFEM, and contributing to steel structure designs and sea fastening calculations. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers to ensure that projects meet industry standards and client requirements. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to develop technical skills in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Job Description
- Assisting in performing structural calculations using software like, ANSYS /Dlubal RFEM.
- Generating FE calculation models of heavy lift vessels using ANSYS /Dlubal RFEM.
- Participate in the design of steel structures, sea fastening calculations and documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture/ Mechanical Engineering/ Civil Engineering or any other relevant engineering disciplines.
- 0-2 years of experience in analysis and design of steel structures.
- Knowledge of any FEA Software.
- Strong fundamentals in Structural mechanics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle design tasks independently and effectively with less supervision.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Master's degree in Naval Architecture/ Mechanical Engineering/ Civil Engineering or any other relevant engineering disciplines.
- Maritime/offshore knowledge.
- Knowledge in ANSYS/ Dlubal RFEM.
- Experience of being involved in structural steel design projects.
- Programming knowledge ( python, excel vba or similar).
