Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Marine Draftsman/Design Engineer with a strong background in the ship design and construction industry. The ideal candidate should be proficient in 3D modelling software (experience with Rhinoceros is preferred) and possess the ability to interpret 2D construction drawings and accurately convert them into detailed 3D CAD models. A solid understanding of engineering outfitting systems is required.
Key Responsibilities:
· Read and interpret 2D construction & layout drawings.
· Converting 2D drawings into 3D models.
· Prepare 2D of ship tank plans, cargo spaces and ship views.
· Develop 3D models to support the development and configuration of our in-house software solutions.
Required Skills and Qualification
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in ship structure & outfitting design
· Should have the knowledge of marine terms
· Proven experience in marine outfitting systems.
· Command of the English language, both written and verbal.
· Diploma/ Degree in any engineering discipline
Preferred Skills and Qualification
· Experience with 3D CAD system is highly desirable.
· Candidates with proficiency in Rhino 3D will have a distinct advantage as it is the primary inhouse CAD tool.
· Experience with MS Office (Word and Excel)
