Job Summary

As a Front-End Developer, you will be working on the front-development of intuitive, reliable, and sleek application for supporting maritime operations. Your projects can range from developing logistic

management solutions to automation of ship ballast systems. We are primarily using Python, Angular, Typescript and Azure Devops (more info over here), but we are always open to adopting different technologies/tools if they are more well-suited for the purpose and can be cost-effectively added to our current stacks

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team of full stack and front-end developers to design, develop, and maintain web-based applications and websites
• Build automated unit and integration tests.
• Conduct performance tuning, testing, refactoring, usability, and automation.
• Maintain strong coding, compliance, & security standards
• Integrate / Develop third-party APIs.
• Interact with Product and Engineering teams and actively participate in feature/functionality design and provide valuable feedback.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Understanding 4 to 9 years of work experience in software development
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and modern JavaScript MV-VM/MVC frameworks
• Web development experience and should be fluent with Angular (v8+), HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript /ECMAScript (ES6 or Latest)
• Should have worked on GitHub/JIRA/Confluence
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• Experience in developing a data check-in and check-out process moving data from a central data store to a local data store.
• Proficiency in Integrating Restful API and a strong understanding of software development workflows
• Hands-on experience with state management, particularly with tools like Behavior Subject or similar state management solutions
• Good understanding of development of mobile-based features
• Good understanding of web and application security
• Good understanding of OOPs principles
• Understanding of web and application security
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of server-side programming and web technologies would be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in THREE.js or other 3D JavaScript libraries
• Proficiency in D3.js or other data visualization libraries
• Experience with Kubernetes infrastructure, Docker, Microservices will be a plus.
• Experience in the maritime industry is a plus
