The analyst partners closely with Sales Compensation, Payroll, Accounting, HR, and cross-functional stakeholders to maintain compensation plan integrity, resolve commission inquiries, support employee case management, and ensure accurate payout execution. The role also supports commission operations functions including data validation, process documentation, operational controls, and reporting administration.

In addition to operational support, this role contributes to process improvements, reporting automation, and analytics initiatives using tools such as Excel, Power BI, SQL, Microsoft Dynamics, Python, and Anaplan. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical skills, operational discipline, attention to detail, customer service orientation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment.

Job Description

The Sales Commission Operations team is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented analyst to join our thoughtful and diverse global operations team. We positively love working at Adobe, and we know you will too!

This role supports global sales commission operations and is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate execution of commission operational processes across monthly and quarterly payment cycles. The analyst will support commission administration, employee inquiries, case management, reporting, controls, and operational process improvements for sales employees globally.

As a Sales Commission Operations Analyst, you will help drive operational excellence by partnering with cross-functional stakeholders, supporting centralized commission operations activities, and contributing to process optimization and reporting initiatives that improve transparency, accuracy, and efficiency.

What you'll do

Commission Operations

• Support monthly and quarterly commission processing activities including audits, validations, reconciliations, payroll file preparation, and accrual reporting
• Execute centralized commission operations processes while ensuring compliance with operational controls and service-level expectations
• Serve as a primary support contact for commission-related employee inquiries, case management, issue resolution, and escalations
• Ensure complete and accurate employee data and compensation plan information across commission systems
• Partner with Payroll, Accounting, HR, and Sales Compensation teams to ensure timely and accurate commission payments
• Maintain and update operational reporting, dashboards, and models using Excel and Power BI
• Support process documentation, standardization, reporting automation, and operational improvement initiatives utilizing Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python, Microsoft Dynamics, and Anaplan
• Maintain high service quality and responsiveness in supporting global sales employees and business partners

Plan & Analytical Support

• Develop an understanding of sales compensation plans, quota structures, and commission processes across supported organizations
• Assist with compensation plan analysis, quota performance reviews, and operational reporting requests
• Support ad hoc analysis and tracking of key operational and performance metrics
• Identify opportunities for improved operational efficiency, reporting accuracy, and scalability

Skills & Qualifications

• Highly proficient in Excel, Power BI, Microsoft Dynamics, Anaplan, and SQL
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and operational support skills
• Experience supporting operational processes in a centralized operations or shared support environment preferred
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally with global stakeholders and internal business partners
• Quick learner with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with process improvement, reporting automation, and operational controls is a plus
• 2-3 years of relevant experience preferred
