About this Role
Job Title: Director, Engineering - Structural
Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG) is a rapidly growing interdisciplinary engineering company within the Quanta Services (Quanta) family of companies. QISG is seeking a structural engineering leader and subject matter expert (SME) to represent QISG’s in-house structural expertise in support of large-scale infrastructure projects through North America.
About this Role
The Director is a SME and functional leader for QISG’s structural engineering practice within the organization with a focus on building structural aspects of data center, energy, and industrial related infrastructure. This role develops QISG’s capability to address constraints impacted by engineering on large/major projects early, from site selection and due diligence through design and construction support and serves structural engineering SME and Engineering Project Management (E-PMs) functions that integrate engineering, permitting, and procurement on EPC and design-build programs. This is a leadership position that reports to the Sr. Director and/or Vice President of Engineering. The Director will lead and develop structural engineering resource capacity, oversee subconsultant design, and collaborate with QISG’s internal civil, geotechnical, water and wastewater, transportation, GIS, environmental, permitting, procurement, and construction teams. The successful candidate has deep technical credibility, is comfortable interfacing with owner and engineering design leads, and works effectively with ambiguity and limited supervision

- Contribute to building the practice: recruit, mentor, and train engineering staff; provide input on resource planning to support growth; and develop engineering controls, QA/QC procedures, design standards, and templates while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and integrity.
- Support business development through client meetings, proposals, and qualification statements, and work with Quanta operating companies to promote QISG’s capabilities.
