- Owns the development and maintenance of design standards and best practices across the mechanical engineering organization.
- Coordinates mechanical/electromechanical design activities with the responsible Project Manager.
- Reviews designs with Manufacturing to ensure the product is manufacturable.
- Responsible for the mechanical/electromechanical facets of assigned projects through production.
- Lead reliability and testing of designs.
- Mentors and provides technical guidance to other mechanical engineers, raising the design and problem-solving capability of the team.
- Provides technical leadership across multiple concurrent programs, stepping in to resolve the most difficult design and manufacturability issues.
- Represents 1HMX / AIS in senior technical discussions with strategic customers and partners.
- Participate in technical design review meetings.
