We have an internal opening for a Trainee Technical Engineer - Endpoint Support our Technology Services department.

Position Overview:

The Trainee Technical Engineer - Endpoint Support helps deliver a proactive managed device service by supporting endpoint compliance, reporting, and daily operational checks across customer device estates. The role focuses on following established run books, logging and tracking tickets, and carrying out documented activities within Microsoft Intune to help ensure devices remain secure, compliant, and performing effectively.

Responsibilities:

· Perform daily endpoint support activities and checks in line with documented run books and procedures.

· Use Microsoft Intune to monitor managed devices and support compliance across customer estates.

· Log, track, and update support tickets accurately and in a timely manner.

· Escalate issues to the wider support team when required.

· Identify and flag trends, risks, and recurring issues during daily checks.

· Support efforts to reduce non-compliant devices and improve endpoint performance and security.

· Maintain accurate time logging and complete tasks within agreed timelines.

· Contribute ideas for service and process improvement.

· Take part in team meetings and training to build technical knowledge and capability.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Familiarity with Microsoft Intune and endpoint management concepts.

· Basic understanding of Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices.

· Ability to follow structured processes, run books, and documented procedures with strong attention to detail.

· Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues clearly to users.

· Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks.

· Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems.

Nice-to-have

· Understanding of ITIL principles would be advantageous.

· Degree or certification in Information Technology preferred.

· Previous internship or entry-level experience in IT support preferred.

· Experience working in a technical environment with defined operational processes is beneficial.
