Monitors the quality, accuracy, and completeness of the cancer registry database. Ensures precise data collection and input for the cancer registry. Maintains compliance with Accreditation standards in all registry activities. Creates and oversees a robust quality assurance program to ensure data integrity. Coordinates with healthcare team members to utilize registry data for quality management, improvement, research, and planning. Prepares and presents statistical reports for management, committees, state, and national reporting. Leads efforts to maintain and improve compliance with Accreditation standards. Assists in preparation for Accreditation surveys and other external audits. Trains and guides registry staff on Accreditation guidelines, registry procedures, and quality assurance protocols. Maintains knowledge of current trends and practices by attending national conferences, continuing education programs, and reviewing current literature. Monitors and completes data uploads to the Rapid Cancer Reporting System (RCRS). Collaborates with the Cancer Registry Leadership team to ensure cancer registry quality and staff credentials. Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Advanced knowledge of clinical oncology practice, including diagnostic, treatment, and outcomes management across all tumor sites. [Required]
- Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of reference manuals, materials and notices used to ensure quality data and compliance with FCDS, CoC, and AdventHealth Cancer Registry Standards. [Required]
- Through knowledge of cancer program accreditation standards (i.e. ACoS / Commission on Cancer) [Required]
- Through knowledge of state reporting requirements and central registry operations [Required]
- Skilled in the use of the following standardized coding instructions and rules: Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results Program (SEER) Solid Tumor Multiple Primary and Histology rule set, Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results Program (SEER) Hematopoietic and Lymphoid Neoplasm Coding Manual and Database, Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results Program (SEER) RX - Interactive Drug Database, Commission on Cancer's Standards for Oncology Registry Entry (STORE) Manual, and the Florida Cancer Data System (FCDS) Data Acquisition Manual. [Required]
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple competing priorities to achieve organizational goals [Required]
- Competency in personal leadership abilities and knowledge of process improvement methodologies [Required]
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills [Required]
- Effective oral and written communication skills [Required]

- Advanced competence in the latest computing software including, but not limited to, CRStar, Cerner, EPIC, and OncoEMR [Required]

Education:
- Bachelor's [Required]
Field of Study:
- in any field or at least 60 college-level credits
Work Experience:
- 2+ experience as a ods [Required]
- 2+ experience in healthcare leadership [Required]
- Commission on Cancer (CoC) program accreditation experience [Preferred]
- Experience with cancer registry software, CRStar [Required]
- Experience working in a large healthcare system oncology service line [Preferred]
- Performance improvement experience [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:

Pay Range:
