Compliance Specialist, Technology - based onsite St. Petersburg, FL
We are seeking a highly analytical and system-oriented Compliance Specialist, Technology to support Jabil’s enterprise Compliance Technology function. This role will focus on enabling, enhancing, and scaling compliance programs through technology solutions, data analytics, and system integration across global operations.
This position will support internally developed applications as well as third-party platforms (e.g., SAP GTS) and will play a key role in advancing compliance automation, reporting, and data-driven risk management. The role will partner closely with Legal, Supply Chain, and IT teams to ensure systems effectively support regulatory requirements and operational execution.
This role reports to the leader responsible for Compliance Technology and will contribute to the ongoing digital transformation of Jabil’s global compliance programs.
What can you expect to do?
- This position will support internally developed applications as well as third-party platforms (e.g., SAP GTS) and will play a key role in advancing compliance automation, reporting, and data-driven risk management.
- Translate regulatory and compliance requirements into system capabilities, business rules, and functional specifications.
- Analyze compliance data across systems to identify risks, trends, and opportunities for automation and control improvements.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) to provide visibility into compliance performance and risk indicators.
- Partner with Legal, Trade Compliance, Government Compliance, Supply Chain, IT, and Data teams to ensure systems effectively support regulatory requirements and operational execution.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT), system validation, and change management for compliance-related technology deployments.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to standardize data structures, reporting frameworks, and compliance metrics.
- Assist in the design and implementation of automated controls, alerts, and monitoring capabilities within compliance systems.
- Support audit readiness by ensuring data integrity, traceability, and documentation across compliance platforms.
- Provide user support, training, and documentation for compliance tools and systems.
- Monitor emerging technologies and industry best practices to enhance compliance system capabilities and scalability.
What is the experience needed to be successful in this role?
- Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, data analytics, compliance, or related field required
- 3- 5 years of experience in compliance, business analysis, data analytics, or systems-related roles
- Experience working with compliance or regulatory frameworks (e.g., trade compliance, government compliance, ESG, or supply chain compliance) preferred
- Experience supporting or implementing enterprise systems (e.g., SAP GTS, ERP platforms, case management tools) preferred
Additional Key Skills and Knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools. (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Familiarity with data platforms and architecture. (e.g., Snowflake, SQL-based environments)
- Understanding of system integration concepts, data flows, and process automation
- Experience with Excel (advanced), Power Query, or similar tools for data transformation.
- Ability to translate business and regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a global environment
- Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or global operations environments preferred.
- Exposure to trade compliance systems (e.g., SAP GTS), screening tools, or regulatory reporting platforms is a strong plus.
