Responsible for all duties associated with office support services and supervision of non-licensed personnel in theday to dayoperation of the agency.
Demonstrates effective administrative skills in planning, organizing, and implementing work assignments and projects, meeting goals and guidelines outlined for the area.
Supervises and assists with scheduling of patient services, and coordination of admission assignments with intake and clinical staff.
Coordinates services for maximum customer satisfaction.
Supervises and assists with insurance precertification and authorization for all referrals/episodes of care and data entry of patient’s demographic and referral information.
Supervises and assists with providing support to HCS team for Management of Information services, medical record maintenance and medical supplies.
Supervises and assists with payroll and billing duties in Accounts Payable/Payroll and Billing/Collections.
Assists with interview process. Assures thorough orientation process for new non-licensed employees.
Participates in disciplinary counseling and completes documentation of this observation in a formal process.
Exhibits the ability to work with others building positive relationships between subordinates, peers, and supervisors.
Assists withanswering oftelephones.
Participates in Performance Improvement program.
Trains volunteer and front office staff.
Responsible for all patient medication orders and follow up with drug companies to ensure receipt of orders and delivery.
Responsible for patient discharge and scheduling in addition to patient referrals andout of officeappointment scheduling.
Development and maintenance of protocols and proceduresrelated to front office operations.
Coordinates with staff and volunteer providers to make sure all needs are met for patient safety and service delivery.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements. [Required]
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. [Required]
- Must be able to type at least 25 wpm. [Required]
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. [Required]
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology [Required]
- Knowledge of Powerpoint, Surgery Computer Systems and other graphics and database programs desirable. [Preferred]
Education:
- High School Grad or Equiv [Preferred]
Work Experience:
- 1+ professional secretarial, physician office or hospital experience [Required]
- Supervisory experience [Preferred]

Pay Range:
$19.41 - $36.10Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
