Junior Structural Design Engineer

Develop detailed structural designs for a variety of building and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Perform structural analysis using advanced engineering software and manual calculations to validate design integrity and safety.
Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for construction and permitting purposes.
Collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated project solutions.
Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing structures, monitor construction progress, and resolve technical issues as they arise.
Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and schedules to support business development efforts.
Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and contractor queries to ensure design intent is maintained during construction.
Participate in value engineering and constructability reviews to optimize project outcomes and reduce costs.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, materials, and technologies to enhance design efficiency and innovation.
Ensure all work adheres to AEC’s quality assurance protocols and safety standards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.
1-5 years of proven experience in structural design engineering roles.
Strong proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, or similar.
Solid understanding of international and local building codes and standards.
Demonstrated ability to prepare and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced office environment.
Experience conducting site visits and resolving construction-related issues.
