We are looking for an experienced Materials Engineer to join our team for an Infrastructure Project in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Job Description:
- Monitor and supervise material-related activities on the project.
- Review and approve material submittals, technical data sheets, samples, and certificates.
- Ensure materials comply with approved project specifications, standards, and contract requirements.
- Review laboratory and field test results and verify compliance with project requirements.
- Monitor material testing, sampling, and inspection activities.
- Coordinate with the Contractor, laboratories, suppliers, and site supervision team regarding material-related issues.
- Inspect delivered materials and verify compliance with approved submittals.
- Maintain proper records of material approvals, testing, inspections, and non-conformances.
- Identify and report any unsuitable or non-compliant materials and follow up on corrective actions.
- Provide technical support to the Resident Engineer and QA/QC team on material-related matters.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in infrastructure, roads, and civil construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, testing procedures, and applicable standards.
- Experience in reviewing material submittals and laboratory/field test results.
- Good knowledge of QA/QC procedures and project specifications.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- UAE/GCC project experience is preferred
