With continued growth across QLD, we have opened an opportunity for a Senior Fire Safety Engineer within our Buildings & Places team based in Brisbane. This would suit either a Senior Engineer or someone close to achieving that milestone in their career.
How you’ll make a difference:
- Providing substantial technical expertise of fire engineering, from first principles to the ability of leading a large-scale fire engineering projects from concept stage through to building occupation
- Project and client relationship management across a variety of markets
- Use your significant expertise in developing performance-based fire engineering strategies across a wide range of buildings and infrastructure projects
- Mentor team members in their development, facilitate opportunities that build competency, and assisting with professional accreditation where appropriate.
The qualities that help you thrive
The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered.
- 5+ years’ experience as a Fire Safety Engineer
- A relevant Engineering qualification (preferably in Fire Engineering) alongside a thorough understanding of the Building Code of Australia and the Australian Fire Engineering Guidelines
- A record of leading fire engineering projects and leading negotiations with approval authorities to gain acceptance of the performance-based design
- Prior experience in the preparation of Performance Based Design Briefs, Fire Engineering Reports and Fire Engineering Strategies
