AECOM is an American infrastructure consulting firm that became independent in 1990 through a management buyout from the energy group Ashland, and is now one of the largest design and engineering organisations in the world. It plans, designs and manages delivery of transport systems, water and wastewater infrastructure, buildings, environmental remediation and energy projects for public agencies and private developers across roughly one hundred and fifty countries. Headquartered in Dallas after relocating from Los Angeles, the company sold its self-perform construction and government services arms to concentrate on higher-margin professional services rather than carrying construction risk.

The employee will initially support a federal vapor intrusion mitigation project involving occupied residential properties. Work will primarily occur in Billings, with periodic travel to other locations in Montana and surrounding states.

The successful candidate will communicate effectively with the project team, clients, site personnel, residents, and office management and will work as part of a project team. After training, the technician may independently complete routine assigned tasks under established direction. The technician will follow approved safety and quality procedures, protect property and resident privacy, comply with access restrictions, complete required field checks, maintain accurate electronic records, and promptly report deficiencies or concerns.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, safe equipment use, accurate field documentation, and professional communication in occupied residences.
