Job Description
AECOM EC Romania is seeking a dynamic and experienced MEP Team Manager to lead our team in delivering high-impact engineering projects. This role offers the opportunity to drive technical excellence, mentor talented professionals, and contribute to the growth and innovation of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the MEP team, setting clear goals and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Apply broad technical expertise across multiple disciplines, acting as a subject matter expert for the team and stakeholders.
- Oversee project delivery, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
- Solve complex, novel challenges-often developing new or improved methodologies to achieve project success.
- Implement process improvements and champion the adoption of innovative techniques and technologies.
- Facilitate dialogue and collaboration across functions, geographies, and business lines, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and deliver results that impact both project and business area performance.
- Coach and train team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Lead BIM/REVIT modeling and project documentation for MEP services.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in MEP design and building services, with proven leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of relevant MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Proficient in BIM/REVIT for MEP design, with experience managing BIM processes.
- In-depth understanding of industry standards, including LEED, BREEAM, and other sustainable building practices.
- Excellent spoken and written English skills.
- Ability to manage and lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovative solutions in building services.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Advanced knowledge of design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other MEP design software.
- Proven experience in coordinating and delivering projects within established timeframes and budgets.
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a diverse and dynamic team.
Nice to have:
- Experience working on international projects or in a global organization.
- Familiarity with the latest trends and technologies in MEP engineering.
- Track record of implementing process improvements and change initiatives.
