The Rolling Stock Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing rolling stock systems for metro projects. This role requires a professional with a strong engineering background, hands-on experience in rolling stock design, and a focus on ensuring safety, reliability, and operational efficiency. The candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions that meet project requirements and international standards.

  • Design & Development
    • Develop detailed designs for rolling stock systems, including mechanical, electrical, and structural components.
    • Ensure designs meet project specifications, operational requirements, and international standards.
  • System Integration
    • Coordinate the integration of rolling stock systems with other metro subsystems, such as signaling, tracks, and power supply.
    • Address technical challenges related to system compatibility and performance optimization.
  • Technical Review & Validation
    • Review and validate design documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    • Conduct simulations and analyses to test system performance, reliability, and safety.
  • Compliance & Standards
    • Ensure rolling stock designs comply with international standards, such as EN, IEC, and ISO.
    • Monitor regulatory changes and adapt designs accordingly.
  • Project Coordination
    • Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of rolling stock design activities.
    • Provide technical support during procurement, manufacturing, testing, and commissioning phases.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Implement quality control measures to ensure designs meet the highest standards of reliability and safety.
    • Conduct inspections and audits to identify and address design-related issues.
  • Performance Optimization
    • Analyze rolling stock performance data and implement design improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce lifecycle costs.
    • Develop innovative solutions to address operational challenges and improve passenger experience.
  • Graduate degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics or related field).
  • Minimum 10 years of total professional experience, with at least 4 years of relevant experience in metro projects focused on rolling stock design.
  • Proven expertise in designing and developing rolling stock systems for large-scale metro projects.
