As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Bridges and Structures team in Milan, with the flexibility to work in a hybrid environment, combining office and remote working.

Our Bridges and Structures team delivers a diverse portfolio of projects, ranging from feasibility studies and concept development to detailed design, structural assessments, inspections, construction support, and project management services across a wide variety of bridge and structural engineering schemes.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a range of recently awarded projects at national, European, and international levels, collaborating closely with AECOM's global network of bridge and structural engineering experts. Through this role, you will play a key part in delivering complex and impactful infrastructure projects while benefiting from the knowledge, experience, and support of our worldwide team.

Minimum requirements

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in structural and bridge engineering.
• Proven experience in Bridge and Structural Engineering, including the application of Eurocodes and National Highways and Railway Standards. Knowledge of Australian AS5100, AASHTO LRFD, and ACI design codes would be advantageous.
• Experience in structural analysis and design, with proficiency in MIDAS Civil, IDEA StatiCa, and Ponti EC4. Familiarity with SOFiSTiK software is considered a plus.
• Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills in both Italian and English.
• Ability to prepare design reports, technical documentation, and client presentations in English to a high professional standard.
• Familiarity with BIM methodologies, workflows, and multidisciplinary project delivery environments.
• Fluent in Italian and English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree (MEng) or higher qualification in Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status in Italy or with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), or completion of the Initial Professional Development (IPD) requirements with the intention of undertaking the Professional Review within the next six months.

This role is covered by the CCNL Commercio e Terziario applied by the Company.
