AECOM is an American infrastructure consulting firm that became independent in 1990 through a management buyout from the energy group Ashland, and is now one of the largest design and engineering organisations in the world. It plans, designs and manages delivery of transport systems, water and wastewater infrastructure, buildings, environmental remediation and energy projects for public agencies and private developers across roughly one hundred and fifty countries. Headquartered in Dallas after relocating from Los Angeles, the company sold its self-perform construction and government services arms to concentrate on higher-margin professional services rather than carrying construction risk.

  • Provide senior construction leadership for an ongoing large-scale TBM tunnel project, coordinating project activities and design reviews associated with underground excavation, tunnel construction, support systems, and related infrastructure.
  • Lead construction management activities for a separate project involving drainage tunnel pump station infrastructure, coordinating design reviews, construction sequencing, interfaces, commissioning requirements, and operational considerations.
  • Serve as a primary liaison between AECOM, the client, and designers while maintaining strong communication regarding project progress, risks, cost, schedule, quality, value engineering, and construction issues.
  • Coordinate closely with TXDOT, contractors, design teams, inspectors, and other stakeholders to resolve construction issues and maintain alignment with project requirements and applicable TXDOT standards.
  • Maintain accountability for delivery of all facets of the constructed projects in accordance with the design, contract requirements, budget, schedule, safety expectations, and quality standards.
  • Lead project planning and execution across the full construction life cycle, including pre-construction budgeting and scheduling, procurement, construction, facility start-up and operations, commissioning, and contract closeout.
  • Manage construction scheduling, sequencing and interfaces between tunneling operations, pump station facilities, drainage infrastructure, utilities, surface improvements, and other project elements.
  • Work with the client and project teams to identify and address value engineering concepts, construction risks, changes, claims, schedule impacts, cost issues, and constructability concerns.
  • Provide leadership in coordinating client maintenance and operational requirements, helping ensure construction activities are planned around existing facilities, infrastructure, and ongoing client operations.
  • Establish and maintain project controls for budget, schedule, cost forecasting, change management, risk, and overall project performance.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to subordinate managers and project personnel while leading a diverse team of construction professionals.
  • Enforce AECOM and project-specific policies, procedures, safety requirements, quality standards, and contractual obligations throughout project delivery.
  • Support client engagement, project reporting, issue resolution, and strategic decision-making at the senior project level.
  • Lead coordination during facility start-up, testing, commissioning, and transition to operations, including resolution of outstanding construction and operational issues.
  • Maintain primary fiscal responsibility for the assigned projects and proactively manage financial performance, risks, and opportunities for both the client and AECOM.
