Senior Back-End Developer - Backbase

We're looking for a Senior Back End Developer with expertise in integrating and extending the Backbase digital banking platform! • You value writing clean, maintainable, testable code that solves business problems quickly.
• You are proactive, engaged, consultative, and comfortable interacting with clients to solve their business challenges.

• Good teamwork skills and experience performing peer code reviews.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 2+ years of hands-on commercial experience integrating, extending, or implementing the Backbase Digital Banking Platform in production environments.
• 5+ years of production-level experience with Java,Spring, and Spring extensions, like Web MVC, Spring Boot, and Spring Security.
• SOAP and RESTful Web Services and tools like XML, JSON, and RAML.
• Microservices architecture knowledge.
• Experience performing Unit Testing using JUnit.
• Knowledge of application Servers like Tomcat, WebSphere, Weblogic, or JBoss.
• Strong grasp of Git, Subversion, and other source control technologies.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Integration Patterns and frameworks like Apache Camel.
• Experience developing large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience working on a SaaS platform or with Service-Oriented Architectures.
• Experience with cloud technologies: AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Experience with security and systems that handle sensitive data.
• Experience in the financial services industry or professional services.
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with Agile Methodology, such as Scrum and Kanban.
• Knowledge of Test Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration (CI).

Location

This is a 100% remote full-time position for candidates based in the Americas. Candidates located outside of Canada will only be able to work for the company as independent contractors.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is CAD $90K-$130K annually (or the equivalent hourly rate for candidates outside of Canada, who will be working as Contractors). The salary/rateoffered will be based on skills and experience.
