Technical leadership role in the development of a cloud-based 3GPP compliant 5G SA core network. Communicate daily with the architect and generate detailed technical designs and documentation. Take an active role in in developing delivery schedules. In addition to hands-on implementation of a number of 5G SA Network Functions, oversee and support the daily activities of other developers on the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Solve Business Problems: Research solutions to solve problems and develop product
• Groom Backlog: Develop detailed requirements working peers such as Product managers, Network Engineers and Architects. Effectively transform product requirements into a solution backlog complete with definition of all required components and their interworking and acceptance criteria.
• Ensure Architectural Alignment: Work closely with team and stakeholders to review and refine system designs, ensuring the product’s security and network components are robust, well-integrated, with the right level of observability and the right unit-economics.
• Leverage Cellular Expertise: Leverage domain expertise in Cellular networks (3GPP standards, deployment, operations) to build a cutting-edge Celluar Core SaaS product.
• Create Design & Documentation Artifacts: Produce and maintain detailed technical designs, specifications, and documentation to guide both current development and future enhancements.
• Implementation: Directly develop and implement network components using technologies like Java, various databases, and network analysis tools (e.g., pcap, Wireshark, tcpdump).
• Schedule Planning: Actively contribute to setting and managing delivery schedules to meet launch
• deadlines.
• Team Oversight: Oversee and support the daily activities of other developers, including mentoring, code reviews, and troubleshooting, ensuring best practices are followed throughout the project.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Address complex technical challenges and optimize network performance.
• Adoption of New Technologies: Integrate emerging AI-powered tools and methodologies to enhance development processes.

Must have skills:

Required (7-15 years)

• AI-powered coding assistants and effective prompt engineering, and use GenAI for technical research and documentation.
• Hands-on development experience in any programming language -- Java, Go, C++, Python, anything. We care that you write real code, not which language you use
• Database (MySQL, Oracle, Cassandra, Redis (at least one)
• Git source control & release compliance
• Critical thinking
• Excellent communicator: able to effectively express ideas and concepts, in both written and
• spoken forms. Can organize and lead internal discussions and present to customers

Mandatory Telecom domain experience

Experience in some of the 3GPP Cellular Network Standards like below:

• Familiarity with 3GPP Rel 15 and later
• Cellular identifiers (ICCID, IMSI, MSISDN, IMEI)
• 2G/3G (SS7), 4G (Diameter), 5G SA (HTTP/2)
• AAA/RADIUS, SMS, SMPP
• VoLTE
• API Development & Security
• Oath2
• PKI
• mTLS, SSL
• IP networks: packet inspection, routing, IP allocation & assignment, subnets, CIDR specification, IPV6

Desirable

• Public cloud services: GCP, AWS or Azure
• Agile Scrum Master
• Spring Boot
• Docker/Containers/Kubernetes
• C/C++
• Message broker: RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc

Education

BS or higher degree in Computer Science or equivalent
