Your role, your entry point at AFRY
We are looking for an experienced structural engineer to join our collaborative expert team. You will work on diverse and demanding projects across various materials, using the latest design and analysis tools to deliver high-quality, sustainable solutions.

In close collaboration with your team from Finland, you’ll play a key role in problem-solving and project success.
As part of our existing team, we expect you to develop your Finnish language skills to a level that enables you to produce design documentation in Finnish.
About the team in Finland
We are a locally focused global operator, and our extensive resources enable us to deliver design under demanding schedules in both small and large projects, across all structural types and materials.
Our range of services covers all structural engineering services for both new-build and renovation projects at every stage of the project.
Your key responsibilities
- Prepare and verify structural calculations in accordance with Eurocodes and Finnish national standards
- Perform and support 3D modeling as part of the design process
- Prepare calculations, drawings, and models to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Take responsibility for the quality of structural designs and deliverables
We expect that you have
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent
- Fluent in English
- 5-10 years of experience in structural design
- Proficient use of RFEM, Tekla Structures, and AutoCAD
- Experience working on projects in Nordic countries
- Proven track record with reference projects in industrial and public sector projects
- Ability to work independently
- Strong sense of responsibility and accountability
- Ability to monitor and continuously improve quality
- Ability to apply local country-specific quality requirements in daily work
We appreciate if you have
- Experience in Steel workshop (fabrication) design
- Experience in precast element design
- Exprerience in modeling structures in Revit
- Experience working on projects in Finland
- Experience in preparing design documentation in Finnish
- Finnish language skills
