As a Field Service Engineer for Agilent, you will work at a variety of labs, so having an appetite for continuously learning about new instruments, software, and consumables is key. Applying your communication skills, creativity and can-do attitude is essential. Your ability to solve customer problems and your commitment to delivering the highest levels of customer service will drive customer success.

Your Role:

You will support our customers with on-site installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of Agilent LC systems. Our product lines include hardware, software, networking products, and operating systems.

• Installs and optimizes hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer sites
• Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems
• Performs maintenance and repairs
• Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations, which may impact product performance
• Proactively responds to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business
• Deliver fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems, and application software
• Train other field engineers and customers in the solutions

Territory Coverage

• The ideal candidate will reside within the Indianapolis, IN Metro Area. Note: No relocation is offered for this position at this time.
• The position requires an active driver's license.
• Company Vehicle Program: This territory offers either vehicle mileage reimbursement or a company car.
• Territory: IN, covering IL, WI, MI, KY as needed.

Job Requirement: Meet Agilent-approved customer/vendor credentialing requirements necessary to gain site access, unless prohibited by law. These requirements vary by customer/vendor and may include, but are not limited to: post-employment background checks, various forms of drug testing, vaccinations, fingerprinting, proof of valid identification, and/or adherence to customer-specific substance abuse programs. Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or other university-level degrees within the science field -- e.g. chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology or similar highly preferred; may consider applicants with an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• 1-2+ years of experience working industry experience
• Experience or expertise with Chromatography (LC)
• Ability to solve high-impact problems related to product availability; typically, system/ solution-focused
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer relationship-building skills are essential
• Ability to travel 75% of the time
• A valid driver's license is required for this position

Additional Details

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least October 28, 2026 or until the job is no longer posted. In the US, this position is eligible for choice of company car or reimbursement for personal vehicle usage.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $34.00 - $53.13/hr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
