Group Category Manager Chemicals (m/w/d)

With around 9,000 employees, AGRANA is the global leader in fruit preparations and also a major producer of fruit juice concentrates in Europe as well as being a key manufacturer of customised starch products and organic ethanol in its Starch segment. AGRANA is also one of today’s leading sugar companies in Central and Eastern Europe.

To strengthen our Corporate Purchasing, Logistics & Supply Chain team at our locations in Vienna or Tulln, we are looking for a Group Category Manager Chemicals (m/f/d) to join us at the earliest possible date on a full-time basis.

In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic and tactical procurement management as well as the development of the Chemicals category across the AGRANA Group.

Your Responsibilities

• Assume strategic responsibility for the Chemicals category across the AGRANA Group
• Develop and continuously enhance the category strategy, including market analyses, KPIs, identification of optimization potential, and alignment with relevant stakeholders
• Implement strategic initiatives in close collaboration with internal business functions
• Manage the entire supplier lifecycle, including supplier identification, qualification, evaluation, development, and contract management
• Execute tactical procurement activities, including demand planning, tendering processes, price negotiations, contract negotiations, and documentation
• Manage framework agreements and master data, ensuring and monitoring effective operational implementation
• Support group-wide projects and procurement initiatives
• Prepare regular performance reports and provide management with decision-making analyses and recommendations
• Coordinate cross-divisional procurement activities related to chemicals

Your Profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent qualification
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in strategic and tactical procurement
• Proficient in MS Office and SAP; experience with SRM systems is an advantage
• Strong analytical skills combined with a results-oriented approach
• Experience in project management and a high level of initiative
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a proactive, hands-on mindset
• Willingness to travel approximately 20% of working time
• Business-fluent German and English, both written and spoken, with strong negotiation skills

• Our attractive remuneration is based on current market salaries. You can expect an annual gross salary starting at EUR 65,000,- (on a full-time basis) all in, whereby we are open to overpayment in the case of corresponding qualifications and experience.
