About the Role

This position is based in Hong Kong and reports to the Head of Group Corporate Security. The role supports the Head of Group Corporate Security in fulfilling regional responsibilities across the Asian markets in which AIA Group entities operate. A key responsibility is to manage day-to-day operational safety and security programmes across AIA-occupied premises in the region. The role also supports the management of AIA’s security programmes across the Asia Pacific region and may require limited travel. In addition, the role may be required to conduct, manage or assist with investigations into financial crime, security breaches and related incidents.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head of Group Corporate Security in implementing security programmes and projects to maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, clients and business partners, prevent loss and protect company assets. Identify budget requirements and ensure sufficient resources are requested to support these programmes and projects. Develop security metrics and performance indicators to track progress and measure programme effectiveness.
  • Conduct daily analysis of open-source and subscription-based risk information sources, and disseminate timely security intelligence to stakeholders to support the implementation of risk avoidance measures.
  • Conduct risk analyses, threat and vulnerability assessments, and security surveys for major projects, initiatives and facilities.
  • Partner with Real Estate, Facilities, IT, Legal, Compliance, Human Resources, Finance, Risk Management, Corporate Communications, Internal Audit, Business Continuity and business line stakeholders to drive, implement and coordinate the consistent, balanced and cost-effective application of corporate physical security requirements across AIA Group entities. Manage security projects and initiatives with the support of local security managers or champions.
  • Ensure that buildings, facilities and employees are protected from the effects of fire, hazardous materials and infectious diseases through the implementation of AIA Group policies, guidelines, procedures, minimum standards and best practices.
  • Ensure that all AIA Group companies adopt a common incident management structure and action plan to respond to and contain incidents that may threaten personnel, facilities, business processes or corporate reputation.
  • Develop realistic incident stress-test scenarios for the Incident Management Team in accordance with the Group Incident Management Standards. Scenarios should cover a broad range of disruptive events, including natural disasters, civil unrest, terrorism or security threats, cyber incidents, technology or infrastructure outages, pandemic or public health events, and other situations that may affect staff safety, business operations, critical services, facilities or corporate reputation. Support the design of exercise objectives, injects, decision points, escalation triggers, communications requirements and post-exercise lessons learned.
  • Provide support and advice to Real Estate, Facilities and Information Technology teams on the design, specification and project management of security system installations at new or existing office locations.
  • Conduct regular safety and security audits across the region, with an emphasis on strengthening business partnerships, promoting enhanced risk mitigation initiatives across business lines and addressing identified vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain a security incident reporting database to capture and analyse security incidents occurring at AIA facilities.
  • Implement appropriate security policies, contingency plans, procedures and training across the region to address a broad range of potential threats, and ensure they are reviewed regularly.
  • Provide advice and direct support for the protection of senior executives and other staff who may be exposed to elevated risk.
  • Provide advice and support in managing and coordinating the effective delivery of manned guarding and protective security operations, including the oversight of security contractors and other service providers.
  • When necessary or otherwise directed, investigate, manage or assist with investigations into financial crime, security breaches, criminal acts and breaches of AIA’s Code of Conduct by staff or third parties.
  • Establish and maintain a professional network of security contacts across law enforcement, government, diplomatic missions, business communities and commercial security providers throughout the region. Develop and maintain these relationships to enable the security organisation to act proactively and respond in a timely and effective manner to emerging threats, drawing on appropriate sources of information and contacts when required.
  • Represent the Head of Group Corporate Security, as appropriate, at relevant security meetings and forums in the region.
  • Undertake other duties as directed by the Head of Group Corporate Security and/or senior executives.

Minimum Job Requirements:
