Aignostics is a Berlin company founded in 2018 as a spin-out from the Charité hospital and its artificial intelligence institute. Its pathology foundation models analyse tissue images to support drug development and diagnostics. The company works with pharmaceutical partners on biomarker discovery from digitised slides.

Why us

Aignostics is a spin-off from one of Europe’s largest and most prestigious university hospitals (Charité), with employees in Berlin and New York. We have received over $55M in funding from leading investors and are a growing team of over 90 interdisciplinary professionals. We work with leading global life sciences companies as well as academic partners.

We believe that AI has the potential to revolutionize how cancer and other complex diseases are diagnosed and treated. Without access to high quality data and a scientifically rigorous, transparent approach to model development, AI is just a buzzword. That’s where we come in.

The role

We are hiring a Senior Product Manager to own one of our AI pathology product lines - a clinical decision support tool built on our Atlas foundation model - and drive it from early validation to commercial scale.

This role requires someone who can communicate fluently with pathologists and scientists, think in terms of business outcomes and go-to-market strategy, and navigate the realities of shipping AI products.

What you will do

  • Product strategy and positioning: Define what success looks like - who the product is for, what it needs to do, and how it earns a lasting place in clinical or biopharma workflows - while navigating the regulatory constraints of these environments.

  • Lead 0-to-1 product development: Taking ideas from research through internal prototypes to shipped products. Build MVPs to validate product-market fit as efficiently as possible.

  • Customer focus: Spend real time with users to understand their workflows, then drive structured iterations to validate product-market fit.

  • Roadmap: Set priorities across ML, engineering, and science teams. Make the hard calls about what gets built, what waits, and what gets cut - and keep stakeholders aligned.

  • Ecosystem and integration strategy: Define how the product connects with third-party applications, IMS, lab systems, and AI infrastructure - thinking platform and API, not just application.

What we are looking for

  • Domain fluency in clinical products or biopharma. You've worked on clinical products or built for biopharma teams in translational research, biomarker analysis, or clinical development.

  • AI product experience. You've shipped AI-powered products and understand what it actually means to work with probabilistic, model-based systems.

  • A customer-first approach: You invest real time with users and go find the data and evidence needed to make the right calls.

  • Commercial instincts. You think about adoption and revenue from day one. You've worked with institutional or enterprise customers in healthcare or life sciences and know how to turn pilots into lasting commercial contracts.

  • Bias to action. You make good calls with incomplete information, know how to unblock yourself, and can judge when to ship and when to hold.

  • Communication and influence. You write clearly, turn ambiguity into direction, and align diverse stakeholders.

Our offer

  • Competitive remuneration, 30 vacation days, flexible hours and remote work

  • €1,000 annual L&D budget (+ 2 L&D days), language classes, mentoring program

  • Family & pet friendly with flexible parental leave

  • Subsidized transport/sports/wellbeing membership and social events

  • Optional pension scheme
