Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled IT Engineer to take strategic and technical ownership of our Windows client environment.

In this role, you will be the expert in understanding business needs as well as adhering to security regulations when it comes to end user computing. As we are moving to a managed service partner for the day-to-day operation, your job is to be the resident expert who guides that partner, ensures they are delivering to our standards, and drives the long-term roadmap for our End User Computing (EUC) landscape.

We need someone proactive and curious. You’ll be the bridge between our business needs and our vendor, constantly looking for ways to improve, automate, and optimize our environment so we can do more with less.

What the job is

  • Steer the Environment: Act as the technical owner for our EUC landscape, ensuring our Windows devices, SCCM, and Intune setups remain compliant, secure, and up to date.

  • Vendor Collaboration: Work closely with our sourcing partner. You will review their delivery, guide them on complex architectural decisions, and ensure they execute deployments and imaging correctly.

  • Compliance & Standards: Define the standards for OS imaging, application packaging, OS upgrades, patch management and hardening in cooperation with information security, and hold our managed service provider accountable for maintaining them.

  • Drive Efficiency & Automation: Look at our setup with a critical eye. Where can we automate? How can we streamline? You’ll design the smart solutions and have the partner implement them.

  • Future-Proofing: On top of Microsoft’s roadmap (especially around modern management and Intune) to ensure we are adopting new capabilities that bring value to the business.

How you will contribute to the team

We are looking for a quick learner who is passionate about their work, possesses an entrepreneurial mindset, and has a strong drive to get things done. You hold a Bachelor's degree or have 2 - 4 years of experience in a similar position. Fluent in English is a requirement.

  • Deep Technical Background:You have a strong and proven foundational knowledge of Windows OS, SCCM, and Intune. Even though you aren't doing all the daily clicking, you need to know exactly how it works to guide our partner effectively.

  • Partner-Oriented:You know how to work with external vendors communicating requirements clearly, troubleshooting alongside them, and maintaining a strong collaborative relationship.

  • Mindset & Interpersonal Skills: You have a strong ability to work independently, maintain consistency in terms of deliverables, and bring an independent yet cooperating drive to the team.

  • You excel at building long-term relationships and networking across a large organization to collaborate, share knowledge, and re-use existing solutions.

  • You understand the unique challenges of different departments, allowing you to empathize with their concerns and tailor your approach to support technology adoption.

  • Automation-Minded:You naturally look for ways to eliminate manual steps. Knowledge of scripting (like PowerShell) helps you validate and suggest better automation paths to our partner.

  • Proactive & Analytical:You don't wait for the partner to flag issues. You actively monitor compliance trends and look for ways to optimize the environment before problems arise.

What we offer:

  • A high-impact role with the autonomy to shape our workplace technology strategy.

  • The freedom to focus on improvement, architecture, and innovation. Propose new ideas and solutions and present to relevant stakeholders.

  • Be the interface to our support team to assist them with technical troubleshooting.
