IT Solution Architect- Customer Line Operations - Aircraft Delivery (DCA)

Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraf tis looking for a Product Architect (f/m/d)to join our Aircraft Test and Delivery department based in Hamburg, Germany.

You will be part of a team developing applications in the scope of the Customer Line Operations (CLO), a set of applications supporting the planning, execution, and conformity activities related to aircraft Acceptance & Delivery process.

This PSL embeds the products used for :

• The activities related to the technical progress of the Production Aircrafts for the activities managed in the delivery center, in the flight line for ALL programs and for ALL Sites: Toulouse / Tianjin / Mobile / Hamburg / Mirabel

• The products and means used to communicate with the customer during the delivery of the aircraft that they are purchasing: Invitations, orientation during visits in Plant/FAL, technical Status, request of rework, planning dates, ...relying on the data which are managed within other Business Products

• The products & tools used to measure & drumbeat the progress of the aircraft from the end of manufacturing to the delivery of the aircraft: prioritization of aircraft, live technical status, escalation of critical items, allocation/management of teams, efficiency of actors

• The preparation & execution of the tests on the aircrafts: Noise detection, scheduling of flights, preparation of flights

Your challenges:

• Solution Design: Translating complex business and functional requirements into comprehensive technical architecture and end-to-end solutions, ensuring financial and sustainable efficiency.

• Technical Governance: Acting as the technical authority for Customer Line Operations, defining architectural vision, standards, and roadmaps.

• Cloud Architecture: Designing and overseeing implementation across hybrid cloud environments (AWS public cloud and OpenShift private cloud).

• Integration & Continuity: Ensuring digital continuity while integrating with SAP backbones, avoiding redundancy with existing manufacturing and logistics systems.

• Innovation:Staying current with emerging trends, conducting proof-of-concepts, and driving innovation to improve efficiency.

• Documentation: Maintaining clear architectural standards, decision records, and technical documentation.

We are looking for a person who would have many of the following skills and competences:

Primary skills, experience required for this role:

• Bachelor/ Master Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar field with more than 6 years of IT Architecture experience

• Experience in designing complex, multi-tiered solutions that span multiple technology domains. Modeling experience, using ArchiMate language, would be advantageous

• Good understanding of software development using modern programming languages (Java, Python, Typescript, .NET)

• Good knowledge of both relational (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL database design principles (MongoDB, AWS DynamoDB)

• Strong, hands-on experience with public cloud platforms, particularly AWS (EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, IAM, EKS/ECS), and Infrastructure as Code (CDK, Ansible)

• Understanding of 3-Tier architecture, application web servers, and application servers middlewares

• Deep understanding of security-related technologies, related to flow security protocols and algorithms, secure storage and encryption, security by design, defensive programming

Secondary skills, nice-to-have experience for this role:

• Familiarity with API management platforms and strategies (MuleSoft, AWS API Gateway)

• In-depth knowledge of DevOps culture, methodologies, and toolchains (CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Splunk, Zabbyx)

• Comprehensive knowledge in testing and test-related means (cypress, selenium grid, karate, gatling)

• Excellent knowledge of ‘classical IT’: Java, .NET, Unix, Windows Servers, SSL/TLS certificates, Web Servers, Application Servers

• Overall functional and technical understanding of SAP ERP, ideally within a manufacturing context (S/4HANA, MES integration)

• Overall awareness of mobile application architecture for Android and iOS. Progressive Web Applications would be a plus
