Airbus is a European aerospace group formed in 1970 as a consortium of French, German, British and Spanish manufacturers to build a competitor to the American aircraft industry, and now the largest commercial aircraft maker in the world. Its passenger jets run from the A220 through the best-selling A320 family to the A350 widebody, built in an unusual pan-European industrial system where major sections are made in different countries and flown to final assembly lines. Beyond airliners it is the largest civil helicopter maker, builds telecommunications and observation satellites, and supplies military aircraft including the A400M transport.

Job Description:

An opportunity for a Master Production Scheduler has arisen within Airbus Operations, Illescas (Toledo).

The selected candidate will join the Planning & Scheduling Team, responsible for the mid- and long-term planning (18 months) for MDCD A350F. The role operates across two core axes: leading the monthly finite capacity planning routines alongside manufacturing and program stakeholders, and steering the planning IT ecosystem (APC Jaguar and SAP). In this position, you will drive scenarios, simulate program updates for MCA & Elementary Parts, and provide the decision-making backbone for resources, buffer levels, and delivery priorities across the plant.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The main tasks of the jobholder will be:

  • Evaluate program and production requirements, analyzing recovery scenarios and plant calendar constraints to propose optimized production plans.
  • Lead Master Production Schedule (MPS) routines and stakeholder reviews, challenging delays to secure firm operational commitments.
  • Design and simulate capacity scenarios within assembly lines to absorb program cascades and minimize lead-time disruptions.
  • Build, track, and analyze execution KPIs measuring deliveries and schedule compliance, defining and driving targeted recovery action plans.
  • Maintain and calibrate planning models and parameters across core systems (APC Jaguar, SAP, and APC-ARP interface).
  • Coordinate logistics alignment and resource availability, actively mitigating supply disruptions to guarantee smooth assembly execution.

SKILLS

Is your profile aligned to the following list of skills? Apply! We are looking forward to knowing you:

  • Education: Degree in Engineering (Aeronautical, Industrial, Mechanical) or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience: Hands-on background in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations within industrial or aerospace environments.
  • Technical Knowledge: Mandatory advanced proficiency in APC Jaguar (and APC-ARP interface) as well as Google Sheets / advanced spreadsheets; working familiarity with SAP.
  • Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, active listening, proactive prioritization, and ability to coordinate multi-functional stakeholders under time constraints.
  • Languages: Negotiation level / fluent in both English and Spanish (written and spoken).
  • Valuable / Nice to have: Direct experience managing assembly lines planning or aerostructures manufacturing environments.
