Sr. Software Engineer

We're looking for Senior Software Engineers to join our Infrastructure Engineering group - we build and run the critical communications infrastructure that service providers worldwide depend on. Billions of conversations delivered securely across on-premises and public cloud deployments, with better than 99.999% availability.

We're using AI to move faster and build better, with no room for compromise in standards for quality and availability. You'll be expected to use AI-assisted tools as part of how you work and to innovate in how you do the job, as well as what you deliver.

You'll join one of several engineering teams working on different pieces of this platform. Engineers here move between teams regularly so you'll have the opportunity to build breadth across domains over time rather than staying fixed in one lane.

This is a hands-on Senior Software Engineer role with scope to lead technically.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently own and deliver complex projects end-to-end, from architecture through deployment, working from loose briefs
• Contribute to larger team-scoped projects through some combination of producing high-level designs, delivering high-quality code, large/complex test strategies, or debugging challenging field bugs in unfamiliar code
• Adopt AI-assisted tooling and innovate to deliver the best outcomes in a rapidly changing landscape
• Mentor engineers and contribute to their professional growth
• Drive technical excellence through code reviews, best practices, and quality standards
• Investigate and introduce new technologies and methodologies to improve team capabilities
• Participate in hiring and help build strong engineering teams
• Resolve complex technical challenges and serve as escalation point for critical issues

Desired Skills/Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, covering the full software development lifecycle, in telecoms or a similarly complex domain with high availability requirements
• Experience using frontier LLMs to improve outcomes, across the SDLC
• Advanced programming concepts such as low-level resource optimizations and high-level design patterns, across multiple languages
• Expertise in software technologies including Linux, IP networking, databases, open-source software and cloud computing platforms
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
