Alimpex is hiring a Senior IT Officer to oversee and support the company’s IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, ERP environment, cybersecurity, system integration, and digital solutions.

The role has a strong focus on ERP administration and development, including configuration, customization, integrations, troubleshooting, upgrades, user access management, reporting, and process automation. The Senior IT Officer will also provide technical guidance to IT staff and coordinate with external technology vendors and service providers.

Key Responsibilities

ERP & Business Applications

• Lead administration and technical support for the company’s ERP platform.
• Resolve functional and technical issues across Accounting, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, HR, POS, and other business applications.
• Configure workflows, user roles, access rights, automated actions, reports, dashboards, views, and business processes.
• Develop and maintain ERP customizations using Python, XML, QWeb, JavaScript, and related technologies where applicable.
• Lead development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of custom ERP modules.
• Coordinate ERP upgrades, migrations, compatibility testing, and deployments.
• Manage ERP integrations with third-party systems through APIs and other technologies.
• Monitor ERP database performance, availability, backups, and data integrity.
• Provide technical guidance to ERP users and junior IT staff.
• Maintain ERP technical documentation, specifications, workflows, and configuration records.
• Identify opportunities for ERP optimization and business-process automation.

IT Infrastructure & Systems Administration

• Manage servers, networks, storage, workstations, printers, and related IT infrastructure.
• Administer LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls, and network access.
• Manage Windows/Linux server environments and relevant cloud services.
• Maintain reliable email, internet, file-sharing, collaboration, and other corporate IT services.
• Implement and monitor backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures.
• Monitor system performance and identify infrastructure risks.
• Coordinate hardware and software installation, maintenance, upgrades, and lifecycle management.

Cybersecurity & Access Management

• Implement and monitor IT security policies, controls, and procedures.
• Manage user accounts, privileges, authentication, and access controls.
• Monitor endpoint protection, antivirus, security patches, firewall rules, and system vulnerabilities.
• Support cybersecurity incident identification, investigation, response, and reporting.
• Protect company data and business systems through appropriate security controls.
• Promote cybersecurity awareness and good IT security practices among employees.

Development, Integration & Automation

• Lead or participate in internal digital tools and automation projects.
• Develop Python scripts and other solutions for ERP and business-process automation.
• Support API integrations between ERP and external platforms, including banking, payment, logistics, HR, biometric, and other systems.
• Develop business reports, dashboards, data extracts, and automated workflows.
• Conduct system testing, debugging, deployment, and post-implementation support.
• Coordinate with external developers and vendors to deliver solutions aligned with business requirements.

IT Support & Team Supervision

• Provide advanced technical support for complex IT and ERP issues.
• Guide and supervise IT Officers in resolving technical and user-support requests.
• Establish and monitor IT support procedures and service standards.
• Analyze recurring IT problems and implement long-term solutions.
• Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including system access and equipment allocation.
• Maintain accurate IT asset, license, system, and infrastructure records.

Vendor & IT Project Coordination

• Coordinate with ERP partners, software developers, internet providers, hardware suppliers, and other technology vendors.
• Support the evaluation and procurement of IT hardware, software, licenses, and services.
• Participate in system implementations, migrations, upgrades, and digital transformation projects.
• Monitor vendor deliverables, service quality, and technical compliance.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Identify technology-enabled process improvement and automation opportunities.
• Work with business departments to understand operational requirements and develop appropriate IT solutions.
• Monitor system utilization, performance, incidents, and IT service indicators.
• Prepare periodic IT and ERP performance reports for management.
• Stay current with ERP releases, cybersecurity developments, cloud technologies, and relevant IT standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• A Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience in IT infrastructure, ERP administration, software development, or related areas.
• Proven experience administering and supporting ERP systems is highly desirable.
• Practical experience with Python, XML/QWeb, JavaScript, SQL, and APIs is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of databases, networking, system administration, and cybersecurity.
• Experience with ERP implementation, customization, integration, or system upgrades.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior IT staff is an advantage.
• Experience in trading, import-export, distribution, logistics, or another business environment is preferred.
