Job Title: Developer III

Position Details:

• Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm - On-call for 1 week every 6-7 weeks (including the weekend)

The Team: EDIG - Small team of 5-9 developers working with 2 other sub-groups within a larger team. EDIG is comprised of a Host Team, Non-Host Team, and Operations team. This position is on the Host Team. Day to Day: The position resides in the EDIG (Electronic Data Interchange Gateway) team working on the host side with a small team of developers. The position requires that the individual can pass a C-2 Security Clearance. We are looking for a self-starter and team player. The main software used in this position is COBOL (Mainframe, Micro Focus), CICS, DB2, IMS, MQ, IBM Batch JCL, Easytrieve, APS Code Generator, Vendor Pricing Software, MS Office, and EDz vendor product for APS on non-host. The position works closely with the team lead on direction and job assignment. The position has on-call responsibilities in addition to the day-to-day responsibilities. The host side interacts with a non-host team and operations team in order to support the EDIG process managing healthcare claims. Responsibilities:

• Perform all phases of applications systems analysis and design. Analyze systems specifications and develop applications to support information systems processes. Prepare detailed specifications from which complex programs will be written. Design, code, test, debug, document and maintain these programs. Formulates scope and objectives through research to develop or modify complex systems.
• 20% Ensure team members understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions, organizational standards are maintained, and applications are delivered according to project timeliness. Provide expert system knowledge, perform research, attend meetings, and review documents.
• 20% Maintain and modify programs according to specifications. Code, compile, and implement application software that is delivered on time and within budget. Evaluate basic interrelationships in immediate programming area to determine how changes in one program will affect another related area.
• 20% Test modified programs, create necessary test files and data, verify logic, debug, and write relevant documentation.
• 20% Analyze production systems, recommend systems enhancements, provide instruction to production support team. Research customer issues and determine appropriate resolutions. Coordinate implementation of modifications or enhancements.
• 20% Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems. Develop functional design and technical specifications, concept diagrams, and work flow diagrams and related procedures to process data using appropriate systems environment/platform. Document programs/procedures.

Minimum Required Skills and Abilities:

• Strong understanding of applications/development, quality assurance and integration methodologies, concepts and facilities in a mainframe, midrange, and/or PC/LAN environment.

Required Systems, Software and Tools: - COBOL Preferred Experience: - HIPAA X12 5010 transaction(s) processing (I.E. 837 trans for claims, 835 trans for settlement, 834 trans for membership coverage, 270/271 trans for membership validation, and 276/277 trans for claims inquiry) - Host NDM, FTP, VPN push/receive of files from UNIX server(s) - Healthcare claims knowledge of data and file formats for Commercial systems; EDIG systems; TRICARE systems - PIMS provider knowledge from development of original PIMS application - IBM Connect Direct - Technical Requirements, Business Requirements, Test Plans, Implementation Plans - CICS, DB2, IMS, MQ, IBM Batch JCL, Easytrieve, APS Code Generator, Vendor Pricing Software - MS Office - EDz vendor product for APS on non-host - Mainframe Utilities (SYNCSORT, IDCAMS, IBM IEB*, IEF* utilities, FILEAID, ZEKE Scheduler, NDM (Network Data Mover), FTP (File Transfer Protocol), VPN (Virtual Private Network)

Work Environment: Customer-focused, project-oriented programming environment. Fast paced, multi-platformed environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer.

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree-in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job-related degree.

Degree Equivalency: 4 years of job related work experience or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job-related degree

Minimum Required Work Experience: 4 years-of application development, systems testing or other job-related experience.

Pay Transparency:

• This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay someone for this position is $40.00/hour - $51.43/hour W-2.
