Job Description

As a Security Guard Visitor Credential Screening in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing access, monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service while supporting badge and alarm-panel activities and using computer or tablet systems. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a commercial real estate location by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information to appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, common areas, parking areas, and the building perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation related to visitor activity, incidents, access-control exceptions, and security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
