Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Policy Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and assist employees and visitors with professionalism. You will help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence, clear communication, and accurate reporting. This driving position offers the opportunity to represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture while delivering through teamwork and integrity.

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to a chemical and petrochemical facility by verifying credentials, processing visitors and contractors, issuing access materials, and maintaining accurate entry and exit records.
• Observe access points, cameras, alarms, and other assigned systems; report unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, and equipment concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have access control/badge experience, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
