As a Security Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff. - Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of retail common areas, storefronts, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity or potential hazards.
- Assist with access control, visitor directions, and customer inquiries while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
