Junior IT Support Specialist

We are looking for a Junior IT Support Specialist to help employees with everyday technical issues and support equipment management across the company.
You will work under the IT Manager’s guidance, following established procedures and escalating complex issues. This role suits someone with basic hands-on IT experience, strong organisational skills and an interest in developing their technical knowledge.
Responsibilities
Manage IT equipment: Maintain inventory, prepare laptops and peripherals, and coordinate deliveries, returns, repairs and approved disposal.
Support procurement and licence tracking: Collect equipment requirements, compare supplier offers, prepare purchase requests and track software licences and renewals.
Provide technical support: Troubleshoot routine hardware, software and connectivity issues for internal teams and client engineers within the approved scope.
Assist with onboarding and offboarding: Prepare equipment, configure approved accounts and update user access in Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and other tools within assigned permissions.
Support office technology: Assist with basic network checks, access cards, CCTV availability and meeting room or event equipment.
Track requests and documentation: Register IT requests, follow up with users and maintain equipment records, checklists and user instructions. Escalate urgent or unresolved issues to the IT Manager.
Requirements
Basic hands-on experience in IT support, help desk or a similar role, including internships.
Ability to set up laptops, install software and troubleshoot common hardware and peripheral issues.
Basic familiarity with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and user account administration.
Understanding of basic networking concepts, including Wi-Fi and wired connections.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to keep records accurate and organised.
Clear communication skills, patience and a helpful approach to supporting users.
Ability to follow instructions, prioritise routine tasks and recognise when to ask for support.
Nice to Have
Experience with ticketing systems or IT equipment inventories.
Familiarity with employee onboarding and offboarding.
Experience setting up meeting room audio and video equipment.
